ABOUT US
"Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul alike." - The Yosemite

BRIAN WIEBKE
(carpenter, welder, the go-to-guy) has been working with wood his whole adult life. From shaping wood boats to running his own hardwood floor installation/refinishing businesses, he knows his way around wood. We’re talking quality and timeless wood flooring and craftsmanship that makes you go ooooohhh ahhhhh. On top of that, he’s taken up welding so we have our very own custom welding shop at our disposal. This has taken our design concepts to a new level as we’re able to incorporate a slightly industrial but still homey feel to the spaces we’ve created. Brian loves a sunny day working in the shop and coming up with the latest and greatest. When he’s not working, he enjoys playing with his adorable toddler, reading a good sci-fi book, plunking on the guitar, and kissing his wife.

KIM WIEBKE
(designer, general contractor, MFB) Kim’s passion for building was set afire when she met Brian. The transformation of raw materials to a finished product was immediately fascinating and so began the learning curve on how to build. This learning was intertwined with the development of a romance and ultimately lifelong partnership with Brian. The curve was steep but she caught on quickly and loves being both on the job site and behind the planning for it. As the MFB, Kim loves to boss people around and tell them exactly how she wants things to get done, but she equally enjoys getting down-n-dirty with her tool belt and being part of the crew. Aside from scheming new ways to build an empire, her recent joy is watching her toddler grow more human. When she’s not working, she likes to be out in the wild, ride bikes, and dork around with her family.

STEW THE DOG
Stew is the real mastermind and silent partner behind all of KB Handyworks's creations. Between long naps in the shade and thoroughly sniffing out every job site we enter, he somehow finds time to come up with incredibly inspired ideas and keeps us on schedule. As a puppy, he took a liking to pooping in the aisles at Home Depot and we took it as a great sign that he felt at home in a hardware store.

CASSIE
Cassie (project manager, designer, scrappy perfectionist) has always been obsessed with houses and spaces and loves seeing them become concrete from thought. She bought her own house as soon as she could get her hands on one, right out of highschool, and began tearing into renovations. Her habit eventually spread to designing and building custom camper van conversions, project managing residential construction and dreaming up her own personal ADU. She runs a tight ship and also enjoys being bossy, but is delighted to jump in and get dirty to make sure things happen and look just right. When Cassie isn’t thinking of what she can build next, she is typically found traveling around in a sprinter van mountain biking, climbing, jumping in rivers and attempting to sing her heart out.
